Comark Corporation Announces New DuraMobile™ Mobile
Computer
Medfield, MA – November
19, 2007 - Comark
Corporation, a leader in the design and manufacture of
ruggedized custom computer and display systems, today
expanded its portfolio of display and computer solutions
for the marine market by unveiling the DuraMobile
PC. The new DuraMobile PC will be
on display at The International WorkBoat Show 2007 in
New Orleans.
The DuraMobile PC is designed
to provide a cost effective solution to the ruggedized
computer requirements to both commercial and recreational
marine and other mobile markets. These PCs have no moving parts
and are cooled using a finned aluminum heat sink instead
of fans. The DuraMobile PC has the capability
of withstanding the harshest environments including shock,
dust, vibration, humidity, extreme heat/cold and electromagnetic
interference. Designed to operate on 11 – 20 VDC,
this low power consumption PC is ideal for marine and
vehicular applications. It’s components are
vibration and shock isolated and have conformal coated
electronics. “Comark’s new Duramobile PC
provides our marine customers with a powerful PC that
has a small footprint and is ideally suited for use with
mobile applications.” said Steve Schott, President,
Comark Corporation.
“The majority of commercial and recreational marine
applications require highly reliable PCs that are guaranteed
to operate in the harshest environments. The DuraMobile PC,
with no moving parts, is designed to address the application“,
said Bob Tranfaglia, Business Development Manager for
Comark’s Marine, Mobile and Military Division. DuraMobile PCs
when combined with Panel Magic Mount Displays
or Opti-Brite Displays provide Comark’s
customers with the most robust PC and display solutions
available today. The DuraMobile PC
is built on low power, quiet, Mobile Pentium technology
capable of supporting several commercially available
Windows or Linux based applications.
