Announcing Two New NEMA 4X Computers - 8/5/04
Comark Corporation introduces two new stainless
steel PC clients for the Food, Beverage and Pharmaceutical
Industries. Both units feature #304 SS and are designed
to meet caustic washdown, NEMA 4X and IP66 ratings.
The 8901/8903 Series provide a cost effective solution
for deploying PC based systems to the factory floor in
both harsh and clean room environments, where stainless
steel enclosures are specified.
Each system features an Active Matrix TFT display at
800 x 600 (12”) or 1024 x 768 (15”) resolution,
shatterproof polycarbonate screens, IP67 compliant I/O
connectors, an operating temperature range of 0-50 degrees
Celsius, a VESA 100mm mounting pattern and an internal
cooling system. Options include shatter resistant resistive
touch screens, a NEMA 4X keyboard, Electro-Polish finish
for clean room applications, an extended temperature
range (-40 to +50 degrees Celsius), an 802.11b wireless
LAN, a sealed mating connector kit, CI/D1 or CI/D2 purge
kits, and flexible mounting options for pedestal, wall,
or pipe configurations.
The 8901/8903 Series standard computing platforms consist
of a VIA 1GHz processor with up to 512MB SDRAM, a 10/100BT
LAN port, (2) DB 9 serial, (1) DB 25 LPT, and (1) USB
2.0 interface port. It also includes an optional PCI
expansion slot, a CPC keyboard-mouse connector, and IP67
glands for IO and optional PCI cables. Available options
include Windows 2000/XP operating systems, net-boot capability,
a 40 or 60 GB HD and up to 512 MB of Flash memory.
