Comark Introduces Low-Cost Backpack Computer for Line of Waterproof Panel Displays
MEDFIELD, MA. — December 21, 2011 – Comark Corporation, a leading manufacturer of rugged displays, computers, and enclosures has introduced a low-cost Backpack Computer compatible with their existing line of NEMA 4X Panel Displays. Pricing starts at $1,930 for a 17” Touchscreen Display with ATOM based computer and Windows XP Pro Operating System. Comark’s Backpack Computer allows customers to service or interchange the computer without having to remove the display out of their cabinet or enclosure. The computer detaches from the back of the display with four screws for ease of maintenance. The Backpack is an inexpensive alternative to Allen Bradley and other HMI solutions on the market today. |

Each Backpack Computer comes outfitted with either an Intel ATOM Dual Core CPU or an Intel i5 Dual Core CPU. Standard I/O includes (2) COM, (4) USB, (1) LAN, (1) VGA, (1) LPT, and Keyboard and Mouse ports.
