Medfield, MA, August 1, 2011 – Comark Corporation, a leader in the design and manufacture of life-safety rated computer and display solutions for the building automation market, announced today the availability of its UL864 9th Edition Recognized EnduraNode FX™ computer.  The UL864 9th Edition specification meets the NFPA requirement for equipment installed in life safety applications, such as fire alarms, smoke control and mass notification systems. Testing was carried out by Underwriters Laboratories, in Northbrook, IL.  The EnduraNode is also recognized as a control unit fire alarm system under Canadian standard ULC-S527.

The EnduraNode FX is a compact PC designed for high performance, low power processing and is ideal for general-purpose life safety applications within the building automation market.  Computing options include Intel i5, Intel i7, ATOM D510 or ATOM N270 processors, with up to 8GB of system memory.  This system also features PCI expansion capability, an optional DVD/CD-RW drive, hot-swappable SATA hard drives and multiple storage options.  The EnduraNode is available with Linux, Windows XP Embedded, Windows XP Pro for Embedded and Windows 7 operating system platforms.
