Medfield, MA. March 11, 2010 – Comark Corporation, a leader in the design and manufacture of computer and display solutions for the marine and military markets, announced the availability of a front access DVD/USB option for the MDU19PC marine panel computer.

This option allows for quick data or program updates at the console, without having to remove the display from the panel, load software on a remote computer, or use portable drives. The option is specifically targeted at ECDIS and ECDIS-N applications that require periodic data updates to remain compliant. A small access plate covers the components when not in use, to prevent water and dust ingress and unauthorized use. This option is available for both panel mounted (in the console) and yoke mounted (on the console) configurations of the MDU19PC.

The MDU19PC with Front Access DVD and USB option is fully tested and compliant to MIL-STD-461E, MIL-STD 810F, as well as MIL-STD-901D Grade A Shock (panel mounted version).  This unit has also been tested to meet EN-60945 and has ABS type approval. In addition, the system is fully ECDIS and ECDIS-N compliant with color calibration tables provided upon request.
