Comark Corporation Receives ABS Type Approval for 15” MDU/MDUPC Series of Marine Computers and Displays

Medfield, MA. August 20  – Comark Corporation, a leader in the design and manufacture of ruggedized computer solutions for the marine, military, and commercial markets, has received Type Approval on their 15” Series of MDU marine computers and displays from the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).  Type Approval is given to products that can be consistently manufactured to the same design and specification each time and verified to perform reliably in marine applications.

The MDU15 and MDUPC15 feature 15” sunlight readable or LED backlit displays and processing options that include Core 2 Mobile, up to 2.2 GHz, with up to 4GB RAM.  All electronics are conformal coated to protect against moisture and corrosion, and touchscreen options are also available. The MDU Series has also been designed and tested to meet the requirements of IEC60945 and provides a cost effective platform for marine applications requiring a type-approved all-in-one computer or display only solution. They offer a high degree of configuration flexibility and units can be panel, rack, or bulkhead mounted.  The MDU15 and MDUPC15 join the growing list of Comark products that have received ABS Type Approval.
